Trump is anti-Americans

Trump is anti-Americans. How? Let us count the ways. First: his naming of a Health and Human Services director who is anti-vaccine, anti-medical research.  Despite his “promise” (lie) not to interfere with established vaccine schedules, he is doing just that. He cut off funding to develop a human bird flu vaccine and fired the entire CDC vaccine advisory panel. Second: his Big Abominable Bill that strips away safety net funding for food and health care.  As Jodi Ernst reminded us, we’re all gonna die, but for Trump, the sooner the better, while the rich reap Trump’s rewards. Third: his lack of commitment for FEMA disaster relief, naming an unqualified director to lead an agency that is underfunded and unprepared. Fourth: his arresting and detaining of judges and elected officials who exercise their legal right to dissent against ICE  immigrant arrests without due process. And now, fifth and foremost, Trump’s anti-Americans putsch in Los Angeles, sending in unneeded, un-asked-for National Guard troops and marines to put down ICE protests, hoping, hoping to declare any protest, no matter how peaceful and legal, as “rebellion,” threatening to deploy troops “everywhere,” even preemptively, where protests “are likely to occur,” so he can declare martial law.  We are on the brink, and it is Trump who is pushing us to that edge. He wants so very badly to become America’s first dictator. Note that in July, 2024 in Florida he promised conservative Christians, "It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore."   And where are the Democrats? The DNC is not paying attention, lost in its own internecine infighting, squandering a defining, momentum changing moment.  Our Representatives? Our Senators? Thank goodness we have our states’ attorneys general, our governors and our mayors - and we have us.  We know what Trump is and wants, and it’s up to us to outfox and outplay him. It’s up to us to resist peacefully and legally, to  take a stand that sends a message that we are Americans and this is our democracy, our republic, and we’re damn well going to keep it.

Chrisley knows best.
